Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Asosiasi Warung Internet Indonesia (AWARI) menjalin kerjasama dengan Dell Indonesia yang akan menawarkan paket komputer personal (PC) kepada anggota AWARI di seluruh Indonesia dengan harga khusus.
"Kami merasa senang dengan adanya kerjasama ini dimana lebih 300 warnet milik 180 anggota AWARI akan memiliki akses terhadap penawaran khusus dari Dell ini," kata Ketua Umum AWARI Irwin Day dalam jumpa pers penandatanganan naskah kerjasama dengan Dell Indonesia yang diwakili oleh Country Manager Dell Indonesia, Megawaty Khie di Jakarta, Kamis.
Melalui kerjasama ini, Dell Indonesia akan menawarkan paket komputer yang telah didesain dan diinstal aplikasi-aplikasi komputer termasuk sistem operasi (OS) Microsoft Windows yang legal (pre instal) sehingga lebih menghemat biaya bagi anggota AWARI, sementara pihak AWARI akan memasarkan dan mengelola pemesanan dan pembelian paket komputer Dell tersebut oleh para anggotanya.
Irwin mengatakan, dengan kerjasama ini memungkinkan 180 anggota AWARI meningkatkan bisnisnya dengan menambah jumlah komputer yang terpasang atau mengganti komputer yang lama dengan komputer baru dari Dell.
"Pergantian komputer di warnet dilakukan setiap 3 atau 4 tahun sekali. Ini tidak bisa dihindari untuk meningkatkan daya saing dengan warnet yang lain. Dan biaya penggantian 1 komputer beserta biaya lainnya sampai menjadi warnet mencapai Rp9 juta - Rp10 juta per komputernya," jelas Ketua AWARI itu.
Irwin menjelaskan AWARI mempunyai 180 anggota dengan 300 warnet yang mencakup 3.600 layar monitor dan melayani sekitar 25.000 pelanggan setiap harinya, serta menggunakan bandwitdh internet sebesar 38,4 Mbps.
"Pendapatan anggota AWARI kira-kira Rp3,6 miliar per bulan dari perhitungan 3.600 layar monitor milik anggota AWARI dimana satu layar monitor menghasilkan Rp1 juta per bulannya," kata Irwin.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Country Manager Dell Indonesia, Megawaty Khie mengatakan, dengan kerjasama ini Dell berusaha memberi kontribusi positif untuk mengurangi kesenjangan digital dan kemitraan ini menandai masuknya Dell ke segmen UKM.
"Komputer merupakan perangkat bisnis dasar Warnet. Untuk lebih cepat kerjasama dengan pihak Warnet, Dell menggandeng AWARI," kata Megawaty.
Dia mengatakan, Dell menawarkan paket komputer kepada anggota AWARI di seluruh Indonesia yang diberi nama Paket Merdeka Dell-AWARI yang terdiri dari Komputer Desktop Dell OptiPlex 320 untuk client dan billing system.
Tetapi Megawaty enggan menyebutkan nilai bisnis dan harga per paket komputer yang ditawarkan Dell untuk AWARI, serta tidak mewajibkan anggota AWARI untuk mengambil paket komputer Dell ini.
"Harga tidak bisa diungkapkan. Itu confidential Dell dengan AWARI. Yang kita utamakan bukan dari sisi harga tetapi lebih menekankan soal biaya maintenance yang lebih murah dibandingkan komputer rakitan karena instal aplikasi sudah dilakukan di pabrik Dell," jelas dia.
Meskipun hanya sifatnya hanya menawarkan, Megawaty menargetkan sampai akhir tahun ini 80 persen dari 180 anggota AWARI bisa menggunakan paket Merdeka Dell-AWARI.
"Kerjasama ini juga tidak dibatasi waktu. Kami berharap bisa berjalan selamanya," tambah Megawaty.
Sementara Irwin Day mengatakan pihaknya akan mendata anggota AWARI yang akan mengambil paket komputer Dell-AWARI tersebut.
"Sudah ada pesanan awal dari anggota sampai September ini sekitar 300 komputer," kata Irwin seraya mengharapkan kerjasama dengan Dell ini dapat menarik minat pemilik warnet yang jumlahnya 10.000 warnet menjadi anggota AWARI.(*)
